You Won’t Believe What God Has Equipped You To Do

TODAY'S TEACHING
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. —Romans 6:11
There are many people who aren’t spiritually awake, living life without a connection to God.
They can’t hear His whispers, can’t follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit, and can’t access the deeper revelation He wants to give.
They’re stuck relying solely on what they can see, think, and understand with their natural senses.
It’s like they’re driving a car but can’t see past the windshield—they’re missing out on a bigger, richer view of the world and God’s plan.
But when we’re born again, everything changes.
Being saved is such a blessing and an advantage.
Suddenly, we’re not limited to just the natural world around us.
We can hear God speak directly into our hearts, showing and teaching us things we’d never know without divine revelation.
Hallelujah!
I remember a time in my life when I was faced with a new, challenging job, one where I didn’t have all the technical knowledge required.
I was in over my head, but I wasn’t alone.
God helped me not just survive for the season I was there, He helped me thrive.
I had a real relationship with God, and that’s when I learned that His guidance and equipping would take me places I never dreamed possible.
When I was called to start this prayer ministry, Daily Effective Prayer, it was clearly nothing I had ever done before.
I didn’t have formal training or a blueprint for success.
But God stepped in (and still does).
I didn’t know how to use the internet to reach people around the world, but He gave me the tools, wisdom, and courage to press forward.
It was all Him—step-by-step, He led me, teaching me what to do next.
When I look back now, I’m amazed by how He used my lack of experience as a platform for His glory.
And He’ll do the same for you.
When you’re in fellowship with God, seeking Him diligently and listening for His voice, He will equip you for whatever He’s called you to do.
You might think the task ahead of you is too big or too complicated, but God doesn’t work the way we do.
He wants us to rely on Him, not on our own abilities.
He wants all of the glory from your story.
All of it.
He’ll show you what to do next, even if it feels like you don’t know how to take the first step.
I’ve seen this in my own life, and I know it’s true for you too.
God will give you everything you need to complete the purpose He’s placed in your heart.
You won’t be doing it alone.
What He has equipped you to do is so far beyond you, that you'll need His help.
He’s already planned every step.
Keep trusting, keep listening, and watch how He leads you to do things that you never imagined.
If this resonates with you, here's a short prayer you can say today:
"Dear God, I’m so grateful that You don’t leave me to figure things out on my own. You’re like a GPS guiding me when I can’t see the road ahead. I trust that You’ve equipped me with everything I need to fulfill Your plan, even when I feel unprepared. Help me stay close to You, listening for Your voice, so I can follow Your lead and do what You’ve called me to do. Amen."
God bless you!
Your brother in Christ,
Daniel

DEVOTIONAL QUESTIONS
1. Are we relying on our own strength, or are we trusting God to equip us for the tasks He’s called us to?
Sometimes, it’s easy to think that we’ve got to do everything on our own. We try to push through, relying on our own strength and knowledge, but that’s not how God designed us. Think about it like trying to row a boat with no oars, eventually, you’re just going in circles. When we trust God to equip us, He supplies the strength, wisdom, and tools we need. All we have to do is lean into Him, and He will carry us through.
2. How can we as Christians better align our hearts with God’s plan, so that we are open to His divine equipping?
To align our hearts with God, we need to spend time in His presence, praying, listening, and getting to know Him better through the scriptures. It’s like tuning an instrument. If we’re out of sync with His will, things won’t sound right. But when we make room for God in our daily lives—through prayer, worship, and reading His Word—we start to hear His voice more clearly, and we become more receptive to the plans He has for us. Aligning our hearts means surrendering our own desires and trusting that His way is better (it always is).
3. In what ways can Believers actively seek God’s guidance and trust that He will provide everything we need for His purpose?
Seeking God’s guidance isn’t a one-time thing, it’s a daily decision. It’s like asking for directions before starting a road trip instead of just guessing the way. We need to make sure we’re checking in with Him constantly, asking for His direction in every decision, big or small. The beautiful thing is, when we seek Him with our whole hearts, He promises to provide what we need, whether it’s wisdom, strength, or opportunities. God doesn’t leave us to figure things out on our own. He’s right there, guiding us through the Holy Spirit.
4. Are Christians willing to step out in faith, even when we feel unprepared, knowing that God will equip us along the way?
This is the scary part for most of us, isn’t it? Stepping out in faith can feel like jumping off a cliff and trusting that God will catch us. But here’s the thing: God never calls us to something without equipping us along the way. Think of it like walking through a fog. You can’t see the whole path, but you can trust that with each step, the way will become clearer. We don’t need to have it all figured out, we just need to take the first step, knowing God will lead us where we need to go.
5. What areas of our lives are we still trying to control, instead of trusting God to equip us and lead us through?
We all have those areas of life where we hold on tight, don’t we? Whether it’s our careers, relationships, or finances, we tend to want to control everything because we’re afraid of losing grip. But when we take those things and lay them at God’s feet, we’re giving Him the chance to work in ways we never could. It’s like trying to build a house with our own hands without the right tools. When we trust God to equip us, He brings the right resources, wisdom, and people into our lives to help us succeed. It’s about letting go and letting Him lead.
