God Counts Every Hair You Have (This Will Change Your Life)

TODAY'S TEACHING
Are not two little sparrows sold for a copper coin? And yet not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered [for the Father is sovereign and has complete knowledge]. So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.
—Matthew 10:29-31
God wants to talk to you every single day.
Not just on Sundays or when you're in trouble—every day.
Through the power of the Holy Spirit, He's ready to guide you, step by step, out of the mess and into the blessings He’s already planned for you.
And let me tell you something, He cares about every little thing in your life.
Every single detail.
In fact, He knows how many hairs are on your head right now (the exact number).
Why does that matter?
If God’s paying attention to something as small as that, don’t you think He’s got your bigger problems covered too?
I remember a time when I was overwhelmed, completely unsure of what to do.
I was in the middle of a situation where every option felt wrong.
I remember sitting in my car, just crying out to God, “I don’t know what to do! You’ve got to help me here.”
And as I sat there, I felt this quiet and gentle nudge in my spirit, almost like God was saying, "I’ve got you. I’m already here."
It wasn’t a big, dramatic moment, but I knew right then that He was involved, even in the smallest parts of that overwhelming mess.
Eventually, everything worked out in ways I never could’ve planned.
I didn’t know what He was doing behind the scenes, but He was already working it out for me.
God's not some distant, far-off being just watching from a distance.
He’s intimately involved, and He wants to take you from worry to peace, from fear to freedom.
He’s not just making things up as He goes along either—He's got a plan for you, and it's been in place since before you were even born.
Psalm 139 tells us that.
He knew every day of your life before you took your first breath.
If you want to live out that plan, it starts with asking Him, “God, what do You want me to do today?”
And here's the thing: He’ll show you.
It might not always be a booming voice from Heaven, but He will guide you if you listen.
You’ll find yourself living out the life He’s designed just for you.
And doesn't that bring peace?
Doesn't knowing about God's attention to intricate details change your life?
That’s the God we serve.
Decide right now to get even closer to Him.
Spend even more time with Him.
His plan for you unfolds in the intimacy of your relationship with Him.
If He’s keeping track of something as small as the number of hairs on your head, trust me—He’s got today, tomorrow, and all your tomorrows in His hands.
Whatever comes your way, He’s already there, working it out.
Just like He did for me in that moment of uncertainty, He’ll do the same for you.
If this resonates with you, here's a short prayer you can say today:
"Father God, I thank You that You know every detail of my life, even the number of hairs on my head. You see what I can’t, and You’re working behind the scenes in ways I don’t even understand. Help me trust You more, knowing that since You care about the smallest things, You’ve surely got the big stuff under control. I release my worries to You today, knowing You’ve already mapped out a plan for my good. Amen."
God bless you!

TODAY'S QUESTIONS
1. How does understanding that God knows the number of hairs on our head shape our view of His care and attention in our daily lives?
When we really think about God knowing the number of hairs on our head, it should blow our minds. I mean, that's not something we even keep track of, but God does. It’s a powerful reminder that there’s no part of our lives He isn’t paying attention to. If He’s noticing something as insignificant as a hair, you better believe He’s fully aware of our needs, our struggles, and our dreams. It shows us that nothing is too small for God. He’s not just interested in the big moments, He’s into knowing the details too.
2. What does this level of intimacy from the Lord teach us about His involvement in both small and significant moments?
This teaches us that the Lord isn’t a part-time God who only shows up for the “big stuff.” He’s involved in everything, from the everyday routines to life-altering decisions. Think of it like this: If He’s keeping track of the tiny things we barely think about, then He’s certainly there when we’re facing those big, overwhelming situations. God’s attention to detail shows us that He’s a God of the “little things” and the “big things,” always present, always engaged in every moment, no matter how small it seems to us. Hallelujah.
3. In what ways can believers deepen their trust in God’s plan, knowing He cares for even the tiniest details of their lives?
We can deepen our trust in God by remembering that He’s never been careless with our lives. If He’s already counting the hairs on our head, He’s clearly got a plan, even when we can’t see it. When we’re facing uncertainty or confusion, it helps to remind ourselves that God is paying attention to the things we’re not even noticing. So, when we trust Him with the small stuff, it becomes easier to trust Him with the big things too. Trust grows when we stop holding onto control and start believing He’s got it all covered.
4. How can we apply this truth about God’s attention to detail to our struggles with worry, fear, or uncertainty?
When worry and fear creep in, we need to remember that God’s got the details figured out already. If He’s counting our hairs, then He’s already ahead of whatever’s stressing us out. It's like handing over the wheel to someone who knows the road better than you do. Let go and let God drive. Instead of letting stress and anxiety take over, we can rest in the fact that God knows exactly what’s coming and He’s got a plan. So, when life feels chaotic, remind yourself: if He’s got your hairs counted, He’s got your problems covered too.
5. How does Psalm 139’s revelation of the Lord's foreknowledge of our days relate to His ongoing guidance in the practical decisions we make?
Psalm 139 reminds us that God knows all of our days before we’ve even lived them. That should give us so much confidence when we’re facing decisions. He’s already been to tomorrow. He’s not guessing at what’s best for us. When we invite Him into our choices and ask for His guidance, we’re aligning ourselves with a plan that’s already perfect. He’s not surprised by anything we’re dealing with, and He’s got the wisdom we need to navigate every practical step.
