Welcome to the prayer to esteem others better than yourself.
This is a prayer I’ve put together where I would like to pray for anyone within the sound of my voice.
All I ask you to do, is to agree with me as I pray, and together we will seek our Heavenly Father.
Let us pray…
Heavenly Father, we gather together and come into agreement in the wonderful and powerful Name of Jesus Christ.
Where two or more are gathered there You’ll be in the midst of us and anything we agree upon as touching You will surely do.
Father in Jesus Name, there is no distance in the spirit and we thank You for the person I am praying for who desires a prayer to esteem others better than themselves.

Father, please forgive them for being self-focused and all wrapped up in their own ideas, beliefs, and convictions.
Here and now, they recognize that it’s time they allow others to express their ideas and opinions.
It’s right to allow others to express what is inside their heart.
Lord, they no longer want to come across as a ‘know-it’all’ or someone who acts like their ideas are the only ideas worth mentioning.
They raise their hand and admit that there are other people with ideas, convictions, gifts, and talents that are just as valuable and important to You.
They want to follow Your instruction in Philippians 2:3 and value other people and think much more highly of them.
Holy Spirit, please help the person I am praying for to talk less and listen more. Help them to express genuine appreciation about other people and esteem their ideas in Jesus Name.

We decree and declare that they are respectful of other people and that they recognize the gifts, talents, and ideas You have given other people.
We decree and declare that they are not an island unto themselves. No, they work with others and acknowledge the beliefs, ideas, and insights that You have put in them.
Now, they may not agree, but they at least acknowledge them as a first step.
Lord, there are other people who are just as valuable in Your sight.
Starting right now they are allowing other people to express what You put inside them and letting their talents shine.
The person I am praying for is becoming more and more reverent of other people and the talents and ideas that they can bring to the table.
As a result, they esteem them better than themselves and make room for them to let those gifts and ideas be expressed as You guide them by the Holy Spirit!
We believe and receive everything we’ve prayed and give You glory in advance for this prayer is answered!
In the wonderful and precious Name of Jesus we pray, amen.
