If you cannot sleep, here are some strong prayers for sleeplessness:
A Prayer For When You Simply Can't Fall Asleep
Father God, I come against insomnia right now. I know that it is not of You and I rebuke it. I desire a restful sleep. I bind whatever is hindering my ability to sleep and I rebuke it in Jesus' Name. I ask You for sweet sleep and blessed dreams as I rest right now. I take comfort in knowing You are with me as I sleep. Amen.
Battle Prayer For Sleep
Dear God, I marvel that You have given me the authority to come against the enemy and all of His strategies! I have authority in Christ and that includes battling against anything that would stop me from sleeping. On the authority of Your Word, I close any inlet the enemy is using to cause insomnia. In Jesus' Name, I command all evil to go right now. I pray for sweet sleep as I close my eyes. Amen.
Prayer Against Sleeplessness
Heavenly Father, the enemy wants to attack me and stop me from sleeping. I recognize his evil strategies. He comes to steal, kill, and destroy! Not this time! I speak confusion into his camp. I have the Spirit of Christ in me and that means I have a supernatural peace. Fill me up with that peace now. Calm my mind and my heart, Lord. My sleep shall be full and complete, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
Prayer For Promised Sleep
Precious Father, the Bible is full of promises for a good sleep. Those promises belong to me in Christ. I am finding it hard to sleep and I know that this is not of You. I ask You for wisdom if there is anything I am doing to allow this to happen. For those outside forces that are causing insomnia, I rebuke them right now. When I lie down, I will not be afraid for You bless me when I sleep. My sleep will be sweet and I thank You for it. Amen.
Prayer For God's Presence As You Sleep
Dear God, I invite Your presence into this place right now. Fill the atmosphere with Your mighty angels, in Jesus' Name. There is none like You. All shall bow in the presence of Your glory. As the enemy looks to rob me of sleep, rescue me now from his attacks. You never sleep, nor slumber, and that means You will watch over me as I sleep. I put my trust in You to end any sleeplessness. In Jesus' Name, amen.
Fearless Prayer Against Insomnia
O Lord, I don't receive the spirit of fear in my life. You have not given me the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind! Hallelujah! When I think of what is going on in my life fear tries to take hold of me. I rebuke it, in Jesus' Name. The plans of the enemy will not come to pass for You are my Refuge. The righteous have never been forsaken. Your promise for a peaceful sleep is mine and I rest on it now. Amen.
Victorious Sleep Prayer
Father, thank You that I am more than a conqueror. There is no weapon that will ever defeat me. Sleeplessness has no power over me! I belong to You and I am a child of God! I am blessed and highly favored! I am more than a conqueror and that includes victory over insomnia! Thank You Lord. Amen.

How can I overcome insomnia immediately?
The following are insomnia tips to help you fall asleep:
- Establish the habit of going to sleep and waking up at the same time every day.
- Avoid caffeine and other stimulants, especially closer to bedtime
- Try not to nap if you can help it. Napping can disturb your overnight sleeping patterns.
- When you do go to sleep don't be overactive. Try to stick to calming activities such as praying to God, reading, or practicing deep breathing to calm down.
- Get your muscles moving on a regular basis whether that is cardio and/or working out.
- Do not consume anything before you go to bed. If you drink or eat, this can cause your body to become active making it difficult to sleep.
- Ensure you're comfortable when you're in bed. If you are uncomfortable in any way, sometimes that is enough to experience insomnia.
How do you fall alseep when you can't fall alseep?
The best thing to do is to get your mind to slow down. Yes, easier said than done but, start by closing your eyes and picturing relaxing scenery. Breathe deeply, holding your breath when inhaling and emptying your lungs when exhaling. Then, start counting backwards from 100. Most people never count down to 1 before they're asleep. If this doesn't help, get up for a short while and have a drink of water. Open a book, such as the Bible, and start reading. Oftentimes reading can slow a person's mind down enough to get a yawn, prompting them to go back to bed.
