2. A Short Prayer For Forgiving Someone

Father, I recognize that while I was yet a sinner Christ died for me. He paid the price because He loved me and He gave His life that I might be forgiven when I didn’t deserve it.

In this moment of prayer You know who it is that has hurt me. Right now, I forgive them as You have forgiven me. May I never forget the fact that I am forgiven by You when I did not deserve it.

I release what they did to hurt me and I cast it into Your hands Lord. I call them blessed because You have instructed me to do so.

Holy Spirit please help me to walk out this forgiveness as is pleasing to the Father. I ask for You Lord for Your peace in this storm to overflow from within me and thank You for it.

As You know, I am deeply offended and hurt by someone. They have torn my heart and crushed it. Even though I am still trying to catch my breath from the situation I face, I know that You have given me Your grace in order that I bring every thought into captivity.

I release all the pain and sorry I feel right now. I let it all go in Jesus Name. I have left nothing behind. It is all cast into Your hands.

I take this moment to intentionally allow Your peace to overflow within my heart and mind. Your peace which surpasses understanding. There is no reason I should be in a place of peace except that You have divinely allowed it to encompass me.
