I am a widow. I was put in the Masonic Home in Union City, California, far, far away from my home and friends an Los Angeles. I don’t know anybody here, mainly because the other residents here suffer from much worse conditions than I have (vascular dementia). I can think, argue, counter arguments, reason, and all the other things normal people do. I have a Master of Science degree in software engineering. The problems with my brain are slow-growing loss of function and eventual death. I don’t have anyone to turn to as my brain shrinks (or whatever it does). I saw a doctor once when I first got here (Sept. 17th, 2024) and never again. The Masons don’t give a damn what’s wrong with me. They just want to collect 75% of my Social Security payments plus whatever else they can pilfer from me. I don’t normally pray for help, but I’m praying now, because I’m alone and nobody will help me. I long to go back to Los Angeles where I can stay with my friends, but the Masonic Home doesn’t want me to move out of their sphere of influence by staying where they have no control over me. I have tried finding a lawyer, but nobody is interested in another old lady who is dying anyway. I sure could use some of God’s help NOW.
